Former PDP government looted N1b SUBEB funds, says Kwara govt.

The Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has accused the immediate past Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led government of diverting the sum of N1b from the state’s Basic Education Board.

This is coming just as the governor in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye said the plan by the main opposition party, to stage a come back to power in 2023 is wild goose chase.
He said Kwara was blacklisted for the looting of the UBEC funds in 2013 by the former PDP administration.
The governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Monday said the “criminal diversion of funds” meant for development of basic education in the state by officials of the past administration of the PDP was tantamount to reckless looting of the future of Kwara child.
