Alaafin gets Chioma, Igbo woman as new Olori

One the prominent traditional rulers in Yorubaland, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III has added an Igbo woman named Chioma as one of his numerous Oloris (wives).

The monarch consummated his marriage to the new wife over the weekend in his ancient palace in Oyo town at a ceremony that saw the emergence of a real estate magnate, Chief Tomori Williams as the Aare Onikoyi of Yorubaland.

At the well attended event that drew dignitaries from far and wide, the monarch i who looked younger and smart walked in with his 13 Queens who were looking so beautiful in white lace matched with white headgear and the newest wife, Olori Chioma Adeyemi to the surprise of many.

She stayed at the left-hand side of the monarch as he emerged from the inner recess of the palace.

Though little was known regarding her identity, the cat was let out of the bag when Fuji music maestro , King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal started singing her praise when he mentioned Olori Chioma Adeyemi.

Many of the guests began to ask when Kabiyesi married Olori Chioma Adeyemi but sources said the respected monarch married to the new queen quietly last year.

Though she is yet to embark on a 9-month course, she will be the first young eastern Queen married to Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
