Daily Ripples are written by a recovering alcoholic who learned the hard way that willpower is overrated and daily practice actually matters.
I’ve been sober since March 13, 2013. Recovery taught me honesty, humility, and how to take things one day at a time. Faith gave those lessons depth, direction, and grace. Over the years, I discovered they work best together. My recovery informs my faith, and my faith informs my recovery.
I became a pastor in 2020, which mostly means I spend my time walking with people who are trying to live better lives without pretending they have it all together. Daily Ripples live in that same space. It’s not a shortcut, a cure, or a substitute for community. It’s a daily pause. A small nudge. A reminder that change usually happens quietly.
One day at a time still works. So does grace. I pray these help.
