Ugandan university appoints Jonathan as chancellor

A school in Kampala, Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) has appointed the immediate past president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as it’s Chancellor.

The news was broken by Dr. Jonathan himself in his verified Facebook page on Thursday.

Daily Ripples correspondent who obtained the news quoted the former president as stating that “I am pleased to have been formally inaugurated as the Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda.”

According to the online information blog, “Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) is licensed and accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education (UNCHE), and was established in 2008.

A visibly elated Jonathan further wrote that “I have performed my first official function in that capacity at the 10th Graduation Ceremony of the University today (Thursday)
in Kampala, Uganda.”

He ended his post by stating that “I congratulate the new graduands and urge them to deploy their knowledge towards positively impacting people, building a community of reformers and improving the society.”
