Police arrest agent for raping prospective tenant in Ogun

A man, Mr. John Daniel has been arrested by operatives of Ogun State Command of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).

A statement issued by the command on Wednesday stated that Daniel was nabbed for forcefully having carnal knowledge of a 30-year-old shop seeker.

The suspect was arrested, following a complaint lodged by the victim at Sango Ota Divisional headquarters.

According to the statement, the victim whose identity is being kept reported to the police that she went in search of a shop to rent for her business at about 6.00 pm, when she met the suspect, who told her that he has a container kept in his care by somebody, which she could use as a shop.

The police added that the suspect, then asked her to follow him to where the container was, and that on getting to his house, the suspect asked the victim to sit down inside his living room, for him to call the owner of the container.

He reportedly raped her in the process of waiting, according to the police who has commenced moves to charge the suspect to court.
