The leadership of the Kwara State Police Command has paraded hundreds of bandits, mostly of Fulanis ethnic stock on Wednesday at their headquarters in Ilorin, the state capital.
According to the police, those paraded were arrested by it’s personnel working closely with some local vigilance groups in Ilorin and its immediate environs.
A statement from the police stated that the suspect believed to be marauding bandits were rounded up on tip of by the Vigilantes groups operating in the various neighbourhoods where they were nabbed.
The statement added that various cache of dangerous weapons were said to have been recovered from the bandits.
While parading them before the newsmen on Wednesday, the state police command appealed to the general public to furnish its personnel with information regarding suspicious movements of strange people in and around the state.
