Insecurity: Service chiefs meet Oyo governor

Newly appointed service chiefs led by the Chief of Defence Staff, Major-General Leo Irhabor are currently holding a crucial meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Irabor who is currently on tour to military formations across the country is said to be at the head of the visit to the Governor in his office in Ibadan, the state capital on Thursday.

The military chiefs were said to have first visited the 2 Division first before proceeding to the Governor’s Office at the Secretariat in Agodi to meet with the state’s helmsman.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa, confirmed the development to newsmen on Thursday, saying the major talking point would be the issue of insecurity ravaging some parts of the state in recent times.

”Yes, they are in Ibadan already. They are almost here to meet the governor.”

There have been security issues in Oyo State and how to tackle the problem is expected to be one of the issues to be discussed at the meeting.” He said.
