FG returns £4.2m Ibori loot to Delta, says Accountant General

The Accountant General of the Federation, Mr. Ahmed Idris, has said the £4.2m looted by a former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori has been returned to the state government.

The money was recently repatriated the Federal Government from the United Kingdom, prompting speculations that the sum would be retained by the government at the centre.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had last week appealed that the money be returned to the state or spent by the Federal Government on projects in the state.
