A former Minister of Aviation, Mr, Femi Fani-Kayode has faulted President Muhammadu Buhari’s insistence on reopening old cattle grazing routes, saying Buhari’s approach has become a recipe for violence.
The position of the former minister is contained in a post on his verified Instagram handle, @real_ffk obtained by DAILY RIPPLES on Tuesday.
Fani-Kayode castigated the president’s action, saying it depicts a situation whereby the president places premium on the value of cow far above that of human beings, saying the president must be stopped.
“The practice of open grazing and the propostion and insistence of the usage of so-called “cattle routes” throughout the country is the biggest threat to national security in Nigeria.
“If we do not put a stop to both it is only a question of time before the entire country explodes.
“The suggestion that the right of cows supercedes the rights of human beings is absurd and has no basis in rationality, decency or logic.
“More importantly it has no place in the 21st century. It is a barbaric and primitive logic espoused only by those who belong to another world.”
