Buhari mourns, says Odumakin a man of conviction

President Muhammadu Buhari has joined other Nigerians to mourn the passage of the spokesman for the pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin.

In a statement issued on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Femi Adesina, the president described the deceased as a of deep conviction.

While expressing sorrow on the death of the Osun State born activist, Buhari went down memory lane to describe the working relationship between them in 2011, saying Odumkin contributed greatly to the progress of the Nigerian society.

“Odumakin was also spokesman to the then Gen Buhari in 2011, when he ran for President on the platform of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), now defunct.

“The President recalls Odumakin as dutiful, and a person of conviction, expressing sorrow at his demise, when he had a lot more to contribute to society and the nation at large.”
