Atiku lauds Wizkid, Burna Boy over Grammy awards

A former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has joined other Nigerians to congratulate Grammy award winning duo of Wizkid and Burna Boy, saying the youths need right environment to nurture their talents.

Atiku’s reaction to the success of the two hip hop duo is contained in tweet on his Twitter handle obtained by DAILY RIPPLES on Monday.

According to the ex-VP, talents abounda in Nigeria and the success of Nigerians at Grammy Awards was an evidence that there is so much global talents in the country.

Wizkid won the Best Music Video Award alongside Beyonce and Blue Ivy for the ‘Brown Skin Girl’ music video.

Burna Boy also won his first-ever prestigious Grammy Award for the Best Global Music Album category for his album Twice As Tall.

In one of his tweets, the Atiku described Wizkid as an epitome of talent. He wrote, “I am delighted and proud as a Nigerian at Wizkid’s Grammy win. Wizkid is an epitome of talent that abounds in Nigeria. Congrats @wizkidayo.”

He also congratulated Burna Boy in a picture-tweet captioned, “Congrats @Burnaboy #Grammys”, for winning the Global Music Award.

Many celebrities and fans of the two musicians have been lavishing them with praises on social media since the announcement of their wins last night.
